Processing of Arbitrum Has Temporarily Stopped Due to a Software Bug
A flaw in the sequencer caused a backlog of transactions that pressured the network, causing the Ethereum layer 2 network to go out of service for several hours. The network is now processing once more after a repair was deployed.
On Wednesday, a problem in the software of the Arbitrum blockchain prevented the network from executing transactions on-chain for a period of time.
The community lead for the Arbitrum Foundation, who uses the moniker “eli_defi,” stated on Discord that the flaw “created network stress caused by the large backlog of transactions which hadn’t been posted on-chain.” “Earlier today, a fix was put in place, and so far, everything is working as it should,”
