North Africa’s Dar Blockchain of Tunisia has announced a partnership with the HashGraph Association to create the MENA Web3 Ecosystem.

As part of a larger strategy that includes community-building activities and a sourcing phase for an upcoming incubation program specifically for the North African community, Hashgraph and Dar blockchain will host 4 hackathons beginning in October 2023.

Dedicated to encouraging the wider use of the Hedera Network among young people, the Hash graph Association and Dar blockchain, a Tunisian Web3 startup, have partnered.

Dar Blockchain and The Hashgraph Association will lay the groundwork for the true realization of DLT by offering training sessions that dive into the Hedera Network and establishing chapters in nearby universities to connect students from different backgrounds, according to co-founders Mohamed Mnif and Jaafar Saied of Dar Blockchain.

Hashgraph emphasized in a press statement that this partnership aims to encourage initiatives, promote expansion, and have a substantial impact on the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region’s technological scene.

Remember that in March 2023, the Hashgraph Association collaborated with Orange, one of the top telecommunications companies in the world, to introduce the AGV (Accelerator Grand Vitesse) High-Speed Accelerator Program in Morocco with the goal of promoting the growth of cutting-edge blockchain projects and startups in the area.

This specific endeavor will be carried out through setting up meetups and hackathons, creating student organizations, and also by releasing a monthly podcast. Additionally, the alliance aims to advance the Hedera Network, which has been hailed as the most inventive, resilient, and enterprise-grade public ledger for the decentralized economy.

As part of a larger strategy that includes community-building activities and a sourcing phase for an upcoming incubation program specifically for the North African community, Hashgraph and Dar blockchain will host 4 hackathons beginning in October 2023.

Promising projects that come out of these hackathons will be further supported and nurtured by this incubation program. In addition to the hackathons, the partnership will provide customized training sessions, fostering the development of communities and businesses while highlighting the limitless potential of Web3, according to Hedera.

The MENA region’s widespread adoption of DLT will be accelerated by the Hashgraph Association’s engagement with Dar Blockchain. We want to encourage this growth and ensure that it maintains its upward pace in light of the bright forecast for cryptocurrency in the area. We are cooperating with Dar Blockchain and pledging to grow the MENA Web3 business as a result of our openness to Web3, according to Kamal Youssefi, president of The Hashgraph Association.

The MENA area has recently been a leader in Web3 innovation and growth. The region was identified as having the fastest-growing cryptocurrency markets in the world in October 2022. In an effort to entice businesses and organizations to relocate to the city, the Dubai AI and Web 3.0 Campus committed to slashing license rates for Web3 and AI corporations by 90% starting in August 2023.

President of The Hashgraph Association Kamal Youssefi stated:

Dar Blockchain, a web 3.0 hub established in 2018, encourages the creation of decentralized solutions and web 3.0 initiatives around the Middle East and Africa (MENA) region.
